A little bit about me – I grew up on my family’s farm in northwestern Pennsylvania where I was surrounded by all kinds of animals to love, including but not limited to horses, cows, cats, and dogs. From an early age, I was inspired by my grandfather who was a lifelong farmer. He taught me the importance of caring for animals and what it truly meant to be responsible for their health and wellbeing. From helping him accomplish daily chores to tending to sick or injured animals, I became passionate about how to best care for animals and how to improve their lives.
After high school, I studied at the Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a degree in animal sciences. I spent three years post-graduation working in the small animal, large animal, and veterinary research fields. These experiences solidified my true desire to become a veterinarian. I attended the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where I focused on companion animal studies (canine, feline, equine) and developed strong interests in surgery, internal medicine and ophthalmology. I graduated in 2020 as a member of the veterinary honors society, Phi Zeta.
Today, my main goal as a veterinarian is to work authentically as a team with my patients and their people to support animal health and wellbeing. I do my best to provide compassionate care to my patients as if they were my own family members because I would want someone to do the same for my own animals. I enjoy getting to know people and their animals – especially about the special, unique bonds they share.
In my spare time, I am often found riding mountain bikes or gravel bikes. I also enjoy spending time with my best friend and husband, Greg, and with our three amazing cats: Coal, Chloe and Cyra.
