Ranee Baker, RVT

I joined Kingsbrook Animal Hospital family in October 2003 as a registered veterinary technician. I have been utilizing my technical skills in the veterinary field since 1994 after receiving my first degree as an associate in veterinary medical technology from Wilson College. I received my second associate degree in business management from Frederick Community College in 2000.

Ranee and Terry with Cricket and Kylie.

My previous experience includes maintaining a rodent colony in a Biohazard 3 laboratory for the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and private practice. I have loved "pocket pets" since I was a child and was always finding animals and bringing them home, to my mother's dismay. I strive to keep up to date on the advances in exotic medicine and dentistry and assist with the majority of the exotic cases at Kingsbrook.

I am an active volunteer in my community. You may have stopped by my booth at the Frederick County Humane Society Walk-n-Wag held at Baker Park, visited me at the First-Aid table at the First Saturday Gallery Walk in downtown Frederick, I may have assisted with your pet's Rabies vaccine or Microchip at a county clinic or I may have spoken to your child about my job at an area elementary or vacation bible school.

I live in Hagerstown with my husband, two Basenjis and a chinchilla. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading and everything Basenji.
