Ann Carlson

I have been working at Kingsbrook Animal Hospital since it's opening in March of 1999, I began working part-time in a veterinary hospital as a means of income during my college years. I found I enjoyed working with animals much more than the career I was pursuing. Although I did complete my education in radiology technology, I began working full-time for a veterinary clinic as soon as I graduated.

I have now been in the veterinary field for 18 years. I choose to work part-time so I can be home with my two children as much as possible. I feel very fortunate to be a full-time mom, and also to have such a rewarding part-time job working here at Kingsbrook. In addition to my husband and children, I am also a mom to my cavalier king charles spaniel, Artie, my Greyhound, Cruiser, my two kitties, Duncan and Mogul and my three legged box turtle, Einstein.

I am actively involved with Greyhound Pets of America, a rescue group that helps retired racetrack greyhounds find homes. I also coordinate Kingsbrook Animal Hospital's donations of medical supplies for rescue efforts of greyhounds in Europe
